Leopards begin rehabilitation of new training ground at Kenya School of Law

AFC Leopards Chairman Boniface Ambani has revealed that the Football Kenya Federation Premier League club has started rehabilitating their newly acquired training ground at the Kenya School of Law.

In a statement shared on his Facebook page on Monday, August 18, 2025, Ambani emphasised that the project is part of the club’s wider restructuring efforts aimed at boosting player welfare and enhancing performance.

“In the interest of restructuring the club, and making sure the club training is seamless, well-protected, and trying to minimise injuries caused by poorly maintained grounds, we have signed a pact with Kenya School of Law as one of our partners,” Ambani noted.

The Ingwe Chairman confirmed that groundwork for the project has already commenced, with the expectation that within the next few months, Ingwe will boast one of the best training facilities in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL).

Currently, AFC Leopards spends a significant portion of its budget on hiring training pitches across Nairobi. The new project is therefore expected to drastically cut operational costs while providing players with a consistent, safe, and high-quality environment to train.

”The groundwork has started, and in the next few months, we shall have one of the best training grounds in KPL. Work in progress. This will drastically reduce the costs the club has been using for hiring training grounds around the city.”

Initially, Ambani had expressed optimism that the facility would improve the club’s technical output and foster stability as the team continues its revival journey in the KPL.

Under the agreement, Ingwe will enjoy priority use of the grounds, a move aimed at efficiently addressing the team’s training and welfare needs throughout the season. The arrangement also places a shared responsibility on the club to contribute to the upkeep and enhancement of the facilities, ensuring they remain in top condition for both parties.

”AFC Leopards have agreed with the Kenya School of Law to obtain preferential access to its sports grounds and auxiliary facilities at competitive rates. The club will contribute to the upkeep and enhancement of the grounds, guaranteeing priority use to efficiently address its training and welfare requirements,” the club said in a statement on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
