The two archrivals clinched their final berths on day two of the semifinal playoff duels currently ongoing at the Makande Indoor Arena hall in Mombasa on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
A dominant KPA team, buoyed by the support of home fans, proved too strong for Prisons Kenya, dispatching their opponents in straight sets in the second semifinal showdown.

KPA coasted to the win in 25–21, 25–17 sets before completing the task with a 25–8 in the final third set.
The win was a second successive victory for Gideon Tarus’ charges over Prisons.

The paramilitary side produced identical 25-20 victories in the first two sets before slamming the door shut on Patrick Owino’s team with a 25-16 score in the final set.

The former champions had claimed a 3-1 victory over the bankers in game 1 played on Friday, May 23, 2025, and only needed to avoid defeat in the Saturday test.
In the women’s category, defending champions KCB’s quest for the title came to a halt in a 3-1 loss at the hands of a ruthless Kenya Pipeline.
The much-awaited clash saw Japheth Munala’s charges seeking to bounce back from an opening-day loss to Pipeline.
Having started on a positive step by claiming the first set 25-21, bankers failed to keep up with the intensity from the Oilers, who bagged the subsequent three sets to secure a 3-1 win and eliminate the champions.
