KRU releases Dala 7s pools after Kabeberi 7s showdown
By Joel Masibo, September 8, 2025The Kenya Rugby Union has unveiled the groups for the 2025 Dala Sevens, which will serve as the fifth leg of the National Sevens Circuit on Saturday, September 13, to Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Mamboleo, Kisumu.
Defending champions Kabras Sugar headline Pool A, where they will line up against CUEA Monks, MMUST, and Nakuru RFC. The sugar millers will be out to build on their success in Kisumu last season and defend their crown.
Pool B promises fireworks, bringing together Daystar Falcons, MSC Rugby, Kenya Harlequin, and Nondescripts, making it one of the most evenly matched groups.
Current circuit leaders KCB Rugby, drawn in Pool C, will test their strength against Mwamba RFC, Homeboyz RFC, and Embu RFC. The bankers, straight from clinching the Kabeberi 7s title in Nairobi, will be keen to extend their fine form and chase another final berth.
Pool D features Strathmore Leos, Menengai Oilers, Impala RFC, and Kisumu RFC, all determined to secure spots in the knockout rounds.
Meanwhile, Nakuru RFC and Embu RFC have been granted Division One invitations for the Kisumu leg, despite recently dropping from top-tier status.
