After missing the opening four rounds of the National Motocross Championships, top rider Rolf Kihara is back in the country with a bang after securing an easy win in the MX-2 Class on Sunday at the Jamhuri Race Track.

Kihara won all three heats, picking 60 points in the process ahead of Mikhail Berman (51 points) off his speedy KTM bike with his speed and artistry wowing the fans most.

Kihara who is a four time Motocross Champion, had a good grip on his wheels and mostly raced a normal run with little interruptions as he made the track look almost simple to maneuver and navigate. Walter Kuria was the final podium holder finishing third with 45 points after a particularly difficult session.

Meanwhile in the MX-125cc Category, Tanav Choda reigned supreme with all heats in the bag to claim 60 points but had to look in the rear mirror for Mali Mburu who was runners-up in all heats with 51 points.

It was a carefully strategic race with all teams attempting different styles. Choda was however advantageous for his good starts and his pull-off especially on the straights.

In the MX-85cc Class,a lot of top riding was witnessed as well with also a couple of retirements witnessed in what was a treacherous affair on the tracks.

Ryan Tiren came out tops in all heats amassing 60 points ahead of Natalie Cherono in what was a very close race between the two promising riders.

Atete Benzinge came an overall third with 45 points despite a very crazy first stint which saw her finish in fourth place before recovering for third in the remaining heats. Wahome Mutahi and Hussein Fidousi all had mechanical issues which meant they did not complete the tasks.
