Kibera Soccer Women FC is reaching new heights as they continue their impressive run in the FKF-Women Premier League 2024/25 season.
With only five matches played, the team has already accumulated 10 points, averaging two points per game.
At the weekend, they cruised past Wadadia FC with a 3-0 victory, led by Caf B certified head coach David Rama Vijago.
Boasting a healthy goal difference of +7 and three wins so far, Kibera looks promising, though they did suffer one away loss early in the campaign.
Meanwhile, reigning champions Kenya Police Bullets FC experienced a rare stumble, falling 4-3 to visiting Zetech Sparks FC at the Police Sacco Grounds on Sunday. This was the first loss of the season for Police Bullets, who represented the country in Caf competitions last season.
With eight points from two wins and two draws, they currently sit in fifth place.
Coach Beldine Odemba is keen to keep her squad on track, as they are only two points behind the league leaders.
In another matchup, Kisumu All Starlets FC secured a 3-1 victory against relegation-threatened Bunyore Starlets in a physical and fast-paced away game. Bunyore remains at the bottom of the table, yet to secure any points and with a goal difference of -11.
‘Kisumu, now in seventh place, holds seven points from two wins, one draw, and two losses.
Elsewhere, third-placed Bungoma Queens FC claimed a narrow 1-0 win over KISPED Queens FC in an exciting contest at Mamboleo Stadium in Kisumu City. KISPED, struggling with just five points from one win in five games, hovers close to the relegation zone.
Bungoma, on the other hand, sits comfortably with nine points and a +6 goal difference after securing three wins.
