Kenyans Tuwei, Chepkemoi win Enschede marathon

Kenya’s Julius Tuwei and Maurine Chepkemoi were crowned champions in men and women category during the 75th edition of Enschede Marathon over the weekend in Netherlands.

Tuwei  was pushed almost to the tape by three runners, his compatriot Enock Onchari, Tandu Abate of Ethiopia and Josphat Kiprotich.

The 28-year-old who came to this race with a personal best of 2:08.06 that he got at the 2018 Valencia Marathon where he finished in seventh place, held off the two cutting the tape with the third fastest time of 2:07.43.
