Kenya Simbas squad for semi-final match against Algeria named

Kenya Simbas Head Coach Jerome Paarwater has named an unchanged side for the Rugby Africa Cup semifinal against Algeria on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. EAT.

Paarwater has retained the back three of Derrick Ashihundu, Beldad Ogeta, and Timothy Omela.

In the midfield, Walter Okoth and Bryceson Adaka continue to hold their positions, with Sam Onsomu and Barry Robinson staying at scrum-half and fly-half, respectively.

The back row features captain George Nyambua, Thomas Okeyo, and Jeanson Misoga.

The locks are Hillary Odhiambo and Ibrahim Ayoo, while Ephraim Oduor, Eugene Sifuna, and Hillary Mwanjilwa complete the front row.

“After Saturday’s game, we did a lot of reviews to see where we could better our plays. The team, having not had a match for over eight months, is getting more comfortable with the plays as we head into the semifinal.

“The way we want to play will show because we’ve worked on our set pieces and the execution, as well as maintaining possession,” Paarwater said.
