The Kenya Morans squad for the 2025 FIBA Afrobasket qualifiers scheduled for January this year has been revealed.
The announcement of the squad comes following the appointment of Grant Wallace, from Australia, as head coach of the national men’s basketball team.
The new coach, an experienced tactician who has also handled the Geelong Supercats, is expected to arrive next week to begin his mid-term tenure with the Kenya Morans.
His technical bench will include Cliff Owuor as the assistant coach, as well as Ancette Wafula and Harrison Kaudia.
The team was under Owuor and Wafula before the appointment of Wallace. The Kenyan duo oversaw the team during last year’s FIBA AfroCan Championship in Luanda, Angola, where Morans finished sixth.
Meanwhile, the window of the qualifiers will take place from February 19–27, although the venue is yet to be confirmed. Kenya are in Group E with Tunisia, Angola, and Guinea.
