Kenya faces Namibia in CAF Futsal AFCON 2026 Qualifiers first leg
By Joel Masibo, January 23, 2026Kenya’s national futsal team will be in action on Friday, January 23, 2026, when they take on Namibia in the first leg of the CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2026 qualifiers.
The crucial encounter is scheduled to kick off at 8.00 pm local time at The Dome in Swakopmund, Namibia. The match marks the opening leg of the two-legged qualifier as both nations seek to secure a place in the continental tournament. Kenya will be aiming for a positive result away from home to boost their chances ahead of the return leg.
The team reported to camp and commenced training on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Kasarani Indoor Arena, ahead of the opening round of the qualification campaign. They arrived in Namibia on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
Qualification pathway

Should Kenya overcome Namibia, they will face Libya in the second and final round of qualification. This stage will also be contested over two legs, with matches scheduled for February 3 or 4 and February 7 or 8, 2026.

Road to Morocco
