The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has invited affiliated clubs, schools, and youth academies to the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup second-leg qualifier match between Kenya and Burundi on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Ulinzi Sports Complex.

All invited parties are expected to arrive at the Ulinzi Sports Complex by noon on Sunday to enable their facilitation for the match.

The move comes after the federation announced free entry to the qualifier match on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

The Junior Starlets are on the brink of making history following a decisive 3-0 victory against Burundi in their FIFA U17 World Cup Qualifier match played on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Abebe Bikila Stadium in Ethiopia.

Starlets goal advantage

The Junior Starlets showed clear intent early on in the match, and it didn’t take long for their efforts to bear fruit as Lorna Faith broke the deadlock to give the team an early lead.

Marion Serenge then scored in the dying moments of the first half to extend Kenya's advantage, giving the Junior Starlets a comfortable lead heading into halftime.

Susan Akoth scored a third goal in the 71st minute, securing a key away victory to put the team in a strong position heading into the second leg.

With a 3-0 lead, the Junior Starlets are just 90 minutes away from qualifying for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.

A win on Sunday will secure their place in history as the first Kenyan national team ever to make it to the global showdown.
