South Coast Pirates RFU is gearing up for their third attempt to qualify for the Kenya Cup, and they’ve enlisted former Kenya Simbas captain, Brian Nyikuli, as the new forwards coach.

The Ukunda-based championship rugby club in Kwale County made the announcement, emphasizing Nyikuli’s (pictured) dedication and passion for the team.

“We’re committed to making our mark in the Kenyan rugby world, and we’re ensuring we have the best talent on board. We’re looking to finally secure our spot in the Kenya Cup,” shared the newly appointed team manager, Robert Magande, who recently took over from Zuga Habweri.

Nyikuli, an alumnus of Kakamega School, also currently serves as a Forwards Specialist with Kenya Under 20. Pirates acknowledge that he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table.

“It’s an honor to work with such talented players and a dynamic technical bench full of energy.”
