Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League side Bandari has stepped up pre-season preparations in Mombasa and Nairobi ahead of the new season that kicks off on September 10.

The Dockers had a sojourn in Nairobi where they played three friendly matches and won all.

In the first match, Bandari beat Nations FC 2-0, dispatched Posta Rangers 4-1 before prevailing 3-1 over FC Talanta.

The club’s manager Albert Ogari confirmed that the coast giants have exhausted all the signing plans for the 2022-23 seasons, but will instead bank on the experienced players at their disposal.

“We are not signing any more players because those currently in the team have the requisite experience to steer the team to high heights.  We expect a very tough season and I believe these will be the fulcrums in our team,” he added.

Ogari said the management will continue to improve the welfare of players as a motivation ahead of the season kick off.

Head coach Anthony ‘Modo’ Kimani expressed optimism that Bandari will emerge victorious in the 2022-23 seasons owing to very impressive pre-season preparations.

“They gave my team a new club house, this means all players will now be staying within the vicinity so as to motivate my players, this is a good thing because the players will integrate properly and also boost morale. The good thing is that there are more friendly matches coming up which is good for the players’ fitness levels,” said Kimani.

Kimani said he has sharpened his players and was happy that there are no injury concerns ahead of the league kick-off.

Team captain Bernard Odhiambo hailed the team management for remunerating the players who are in turn replicating the same with a good performance.

“We are all in high spirits and as long as our plight is being looked at by the management, wee shall give our all in the forthcoming new season,”’ said Odhiambo.
