Munro, a man devoted to nurturing grassroots and professional football, passed away on Sunday morning, January 19, 2025, at his home in Westlands, Nairobi.
His demise resulted to an outpouring of condolences from football circles, politicians and foreign embassies.
Football Kenya Fedartion President Hussein Mohammed and President William Ruto were among those with messages of tribute.
The head of state eulogised Munro as a firm believer in youth development who left a rich legacy in the football space as he perfectly honed the ability to spot and nurture budding talents.
