Defending champions Kenya Prisons will face Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) in the semifinals of the Kenya Volleyball Federation National League playoffs to be held at the Moi International Sports Center indoor arena, Kasarani.

Prisons had earlier shown intent as they eased past Administration Police of Kenya (APK) 3-0 in their opening two quarter-final matches while KPA had to launch a comeback to win 3-2 against Trailblazers who had won the opening fixture.

The second semifinal pits former champions General Service Unit(GSU) against the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF). KDF, who were keen to amend mistakes from last season where they missed out on the playoffs defeated Kenya Forest Service (KFS) 3-2 (23-25, 21-25, 25-21, 26-24, and 16-14) on Saturday to secure the first semifinal berth in the men’s category. GSU confirmed qualification after defeating an immensely improved Equity Bank won 1-3 (25-22, 26-28, 18-25, 19-25).
