CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Q: Police Bullets FC drawn in Group A

Kenya Police Bullets FC have been drawn in Group A of the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers, with the club announcing the draw on their official social media accounts on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

The regional tournament, featuring top women’s football clubs from East and Central Africa, is scheduled to run from September 2 to 26, 2025.

Group A comprises Kenya Police Bullets FC, FC Denden, and Kampala Queens FC. Group B will see CBE FC, Top Girls Academy FC, and Rayon Sports Women’s FC, while Group C features JKT Queens FC, Yei Joint Stars FC, and JKU Princesses FC. All three groups will battle for a place in the main CAF Women’s Champions League tournament, promising competitive and exciting matches across the region.

Historic triumphs

Bullets enter the qualifiers on the back of a historic second consecutive FKF Women’s Premier League title. They concluded the 2024/25 season with a decisive 4-0 win over Trinity Starlets at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Sunday, May 25, 2025, under the guidance of coach Beldine Odemba. The team finished the season with 46 points from 21 matches, recording 13 wins, 7 draws, and only one defeat, demonstrating remarkable consistency.

Striker Rebecca Okwaro played a pivotal role in the final match, assisting the opener and creating an own goal for the second before scoring twice herself, finishing the season with 16 goals to claim the Golden Boot.

Managed under the Police Service, Police Bullets are renowned for their disciplined approach and strong teamwork. Their back-to-back domestic titles reflect their dominance in Kenyan women’s football and set high expectations for their campaign in the CECAFA qualifiers.
