Nyando education director disqualified and banned Onjiko High School from the Nyando Sub-County Secondary Schools ball games over improper footballer documentation and fielding of five ineligible players.

The sub-county education director, Kamugunah Williams, who presides over the Secondary Schools ball games, confirmed to People Sport yesterday that Onjiko High School boys’ football team had been disqualified and banned from playing against Awasi Boys High School in the final at Otieno Oyoo High School sports ground.

He further disclosed that Onjiko High was disqualified from the final following a successful protest and petition filed by Katolo Secondary School over the fielding of ineligible players by Onjiko during the school’s sub-county football fixtures against other schools.

“Following the successful petition, Onjiko High was replaced by Katolo Secondary, which proceeded to play the Nyando Sub-County Secondary Schools boys’ football final against Awasi P.A.G Boys High School,” Kamugunah explained.
