AFC Leopards reap big in-gate collections against Shabana

AFC Leopards had a significant turnout and financial success during their FKF Premier League match against Shabana at Ulinzi Complex on Sunday.
The tightly contested match ended in a 1-1 draw, extending both teams’ winless streaks in the league. AFC Leopards reported that they sold a total of 6,152 tickets for the event.

Out of these tickets, 653 were VIP tickets, generating revenue of Ksh 326,500, while the remaining 5,499 tickets were sold, contributing a total of Ksh 1,099,800.
In total, the match raised an impressive sum of Ksh1,426,300 for the club.
“We hosted Shabana FC on Sunday at Ulinzi Sports Complex in a match we fully went digital on ticketing. A total of 6,152 tickets were sold for the match in the very well-attended match in Lang’ata. VIP- 653, TERRACE- 5499, We collected 1,426,300/= Thank you for the support,” reads a statement by AFC Leopards.
“As we prepare for Saturday’s #MashemejiDerby, we’d like to urge all our fans to get their tickets early for easy verification,” the club stated.
AFC Leopards have vowed to stick to the new ticketing system ahead of the FKF Premier League date against Gor Mahia FC slated for Moi International Stadium Kasarani.
Reflecting on the debut of the new ticketing system, AFC Leopards acknowledged that the match served as a test of its feasibility.
They praised the visiting Shabana FC fans for their orderly conduct while expressing some concerns about the behaviour of their own supporters.Despite the initial challenges encountered during the first trial, AFC Leopards have affirmed their commitment to sticking with the E-ticketing system. They believe that technology will ultimately benefit the club and its fans.
The club extended gratitude to their fans for their support during the match and assured fans that they have learned from this initial experience and are taking measures to ensure seamless access to the stadium.
They plan to increase ticket validation points to facilitate entry and encourage fans to embrace this technology for the benefit of the club.
