Kakamega County Senator Boni Khalwale has said that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been living in denial since he was ousted from his position.

In a statement on X on Sunday, November 24, 2024, the senator reacted to Gachagua’s revelation on what led to the fallout between him and the president.

“When will he stop living in denial?” – Khalwale’s statement read.

Gachagua’s revelation

During a church service at AIPCA Kangari, Kigumo in Murang’a County, Gachagua revealed what exactly went wrong between him and Ruto before he was removed by way of impeachment.

This is auctioning the country, and the people, Mr. President, don’t want it.

“Akanichukia. Ikasemekana mimi napinga miradi ya serikali. Sasa ufisadi ni mradi wa serikali? That is corruption; it is not a government programme.

“Sasa rais ameniambia mimi Rigathi Gachagua niende nisimamie maskini wa bomolewe. Mimi!

“Nikamuuliza rais, unanijua vizuri mimi nikasimamie watu wabomolewe. Mimi nilisema afadhali niende nyumbani kuliko kuenda kobomolea watu maskini,” Gachagua stated.

He said his impeachment came at the right time because now they know Ruto’s true colours.

The former Mathira Member of Parliament also promised to start a political movement that will shape his backyard’s future.

“The political movement that would start in this mountain, 2002 will look like a joke. We shall join other Kenyans to get on the right trajectory and define our destiny,” he concluded.
