Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja now claims that Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition party flagbearer in the capital’s gubernatorial race Polycarp Igathe is being imposed on Nairobians by the deep state and State House.

“I am not a sample to the contemptuous the way they have been on the other side by imposing a candidate. There is the people’s project, and there’s a project of the deep state and statehouse,” he said.

The lawmaker, who will be flying the Kenya Kwanza Alliance flag in the Nairobi governor’s race, exuded confidence that the electorate will reject Igathe come August 9th.

The outspoken legislator stated that his sound track record will propel him to City Hall.

“I’m confident that we will make the right choice. I don’t take it for granted. Our work is to go and convince them as to why they need to choose us for the position of governor of Nairobi,” he added.
