Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi received security briefs from the Interior and National Administration Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo.
This is after Mudavadi, who is in charge of the security docket on an interim basis, paid a courtesy call to the PS on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
“I met with Raymond Omollo, Principal Secretary for the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, at the Ministry of Interior and National Coordination offices. We engaged in a constructive discussion on the Ministry’s critical government programs and initiatives that impact our nation.
“PS Raymond Omollo provided a comprehensive briefing on the country’s current security landscape and outlined the Ministry’s programs being implemented nationwide. This follows my appointment as the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Coordination by H.E. President William Ruto in an acting capacity,” Mudavadi said in a statement on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, posted on X.
As Mudavadi balances his three duties inside the government, eyes are on Ruto to see who the president will nominate as his next CS for Interior.
Currently in charge of the Foreign Affairs and Interior Ministries, Mudavadi is also the Prime CS. He was handed the security docket after Kithure Kindiki was nominated and later approved as Kenya’s third Deputy President.
