The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has welcomed vocal political activist Kasmuel MacOure to the party, moments after he made it public that he had joined the outfit.
In a statement published by the ODM‘s communication team on Sunday, November 10, 2024, on its official X account, the party’s leadership welcomed the youthful activist to the movement.
“Welcome to the Movement Kasmuel MacOure @_KasKazini,” ODM stated.
The vibrant political activist gained momentum after actively participating and being at the forefront during the much-publicized anti-government protests organised by Gen Z.

Kasmuel’s political party stand
As he continues to defend his association with Raila Odinga’s party, Kasmuel on Sunday, November 10, 2024, asked youths who have political ambitions to join the movement.
“If you’re willing to join a substantive political movement for a fair, democratic Kenya where everyone can live with dignity, consider ODM –the largest pro-people party in East and Central Africa!” Kasmuel said in a statement shared on his X handle.
“We’re revitalizing the youth and students’ leagues and are calling on passionate young Kenyans to help shape our future. Stand with us!”
He further vowed to help register several youths to become members of ODM, arguing that the opposition outfit is the party of the present and the future.
“We will go out in an outreach like never before. We will register not only the educated but also the uneducated people and those in the technical institutions and ensure that this is the party that they will join,” he added.
“Every Kenyan is a member of ODM just by virtue, and that is why we will go on a massive, rigorous registration of the young people to come and bring them to the party of the present and the future.”
Political ambitions
Speaking during a podcast session with Dialogues with Jagero, on October 11, 2024, he asserted that his long-term plan is to vie for a political seat in the 2027 elections.
He emphasized that his ambition is to take political power regardless of whether he has a following or not.
“I am very clear I want to take political power so no Kenyan is going to push me, that is why I am out here saying at this point I don’t care whether I have one follower, two followers, so long as I have it clear in my mind I want to take political power,” he stated.
However, Kasmuel refused to state the particular position he would be vying for but insisted that he would be a member of the government.
“I want to get an elective position by organizing and ensuring I get myself on a political ballot that is in 2027 and now getting to an election as a member of government…I think it is too early cause I am still looking at the data to see what my strengths could be because you might have this whole dream then you realise you have the disadvantage of time, resources, those kinds of things.”
