Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) chairperson and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga has announced that the party will field all elective positions in the 2027 General Election.
Speaking during the reception of interim party leader Anyang’ Nyong’o on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, Wanga confidently asserted that the party will field candidates for all positions including the presidency, during the 2027 General Election.
“In the coming election, we hope that our party will sweep seats starting from MCA, MPs, Senators, Governors, and we are not going to leave any seat including the presidency of this country,” she said.
At the same time, Wanga expressed support for the new ODM leader saying all party members will rally behind Nyong’o’s leadership.
On his part, Nyong’o expressed optimism that the party will rule the country.
He stated that the members will crisscross every part of the country to popularise the party.
“There is a new generation in the party, I am sure that this party will rule this country,” the Kisumu county boss said.
Other leaders including Migori Governor Ochilo Ayacko and other ODM members were also present.
