Update on Qatar jobs

Following the latest update from the Ministry of Labour and Social Services, applicants and successful candidates for Qatar jobs have a reason to smile.

On Friday, November 29, 2024, Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua announced that the recruitment process for Kenyans seeking employment in Qatar is nearing completion, with departure dates set to be confirmed soon.

Mutua revealed that the documentation and contracts for candidates who successfully secured jobs have been finalized. He also shared a list of the qualified candidates.

“The processing of documents and contracts for candidates hired during the Qatar recruitment drive is progressing well, and departures are approaching,” he said.

To prepare for their transition, the CS confirmed that pre-departure training for those who have already signed their offer letters will take place on Saturday, November 30, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi. The session will begin at 8 am; all relevant candidates have been notified.

“For candidates who have not signed their offer letters. They should visit the notified location on Monday, December 2, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Their training will be scheduled after they complete the signing and medical processes,” Mutua stated.

He further reassured those awaiting communication, noting that their offer letters are still being processed in Qatar and that they will be contacted once they are ready.

UDA comrades edition

The ruling party United Democratic Alliance will be conducting a popularity drive in the South-Rift town of Kericho today starting at 10:00 am.

The exercise will target young party members and prospects in learning institutions in the region at large.

This comes in the wake of Kenya’s largest opposition party ODM conducting its grassroots elections earlier in the week on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

Weekend football action

The weekend will feature a sizzling football action beginning with FC Talanta v Posta Rangers at 1:00 pm in Machakos, Mara Sugar v Gor Mahia at 2:00 pm in Homa Bay, KCB v Bidco United at 3:00 pm in Murang’a and Nairobi City Stars v Bandari FC at 4:00 pm in Machakos.
