Zoo Kericho sign six, ready for season opener against Chemelil

Zoo Kericho has set a top 10 finish as their main target in the upcoming Kenyan Premier League season.

c yesterday told People Sport that they had done all that it takes to do well in the new season that include enlisting services of new players to bolster the squad and serious pre-season training ahead of this weekend’s season kick -off.

“We are ready for the season kick- off because we have prepared well enough in all aspects and we hope to do well as the season progresses. We are raring to go,” said Iswekha.

The team has recruited six new players and the coach is confident of adding three more in mid-season. 

The new players include goalkeeper Vincent Misikhu, strikers -Danson Kiprono and Ernest Kipkoech. Others are, Dominic Kiprono, Eugene Ambulwa and Collins Neto. 

Both Ambulwa and Neto are from Wazito FC.Iswekha says he is busy building the club at the moment and he is upbeat the club’s future is bright despite having lost key players to other clubs in the past.

Zoo lock horns with Chemelil Sugar in their first match of the season at the Kericho Green Stadium on Sunday. Iswekha says it is a must-win for his side arguing that they were fully prepared to compete and collect maximum points.

“I am upbeat we’re winning this first match of the season and continue that way as the league progresses. 

My lads are ready for the game because they have trained well enough and are in fact raring to go,” he said. Zoo FC survived relegation by a whisker at the end of last season.
