‘Your voices inspire me to do better’ – Omtatah’s message to supporters

Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah has expressed gratitude to Kenyans for supporting him in his quest for presidency.

In his statement shared via his official X page, the senator acknowledged the immense support he gets from a section of Kenyans and expressed that he is humbled by the confidence placed in him by the supporters.

He also stated that the support he receives is highly encouraging and pushes him to continue striving to build a movement that prioritizes justice, integrity, justice and true leadership for citizens.

Additionally, Omtatah assured Kenyans that plans are ongoing to strengthen communication and ensure meaningful engagement with the people.

“Leadership demands teamwork, mobilization & presence, and I recognize the need to match the energy of the youth and supporters who believe in our vision for a better Kenya.

“I assure you, plans are underway to strengthen our strategy, improve communication, and ensure that we engage meaningfully with the ground,” he said.

The vocal politician further thanked his supporters for playing their oversight role and keeping him in check. He also encouraged them to stay focused and united.

Earlier, Omtatah expressed confidence in Kenya’s potential to become a developed nation.

The senator stated that poor governance has robbed the country’s potential to become a great nation.

“The time has come for us to believe in ourselves and each other, to take charge of our destiny, and to push for a better Kenya. At the heart of our societal challenges lies the issue of governance. Good & effective governance built on three essential pillars; an impersonal state, the rule of law, and accountability, has the potential to rewrite the Kenyan narrative,” he said.

He also voiced the urgency to establish appropriate and functional systems that work fairly for all citizens irrespective of their status.

“There is urgent need to establish proper and functional systems that create an authority that transcends individual manipulation, ensuring accountability for everyone, regardless of their status. Our future hinges on empowering individuals, businesses, and communities to thrive independently of political cycles.

“A Kenya where fairness, justice, and opportunity serve as the foundation of national growth. Join us in this movement for systemic change. Let us work hand in hand to create a brighter future for all Kenyans,” he added.
