Embattled Wajir Governor Mohamed Abdi Mohamud has been impeached.

In a vote of 37 against 10, Members of Wajir County Assembly (MCAs) ousted Governor Mohamed over claims of corruption, gross misconduct and abuse of office despite a court order issued to halt the motion against his impeachment.
