Uhuru convenes meeting with Jubilee party MPs

Jubilee Party has invited parliamentarians affiliated to President Uhuru Kenyatta to a meeting tomorrow, February 4.

According to an invitation message seen by People Daily Digital, the MPs are to meet at Statehouse Nairobi starting 9:00 am.

The invitation made by the leader of majority Amos Kimunya states that the ruling party members are to engage in a consultative meeting with the president.

“Good afternoon Mheshimiwa. I wish to invite you to a Jubilee Party consultative meeting, with our Party Leader HE Uhuru Kenyatta, at Statehouse Nairobi, tomorrow, Friday 4th February 2022, at 9 am,” the invitation read in part.

Kimunya, in the invitation, requested parliamentarians to confirm their attendance immediately.

Tomorrow’s meeting will be happening days before the ruling party holds its National Delegates Convention which will be happening on February 25 and 26.

In the convention, Jubilee Party-affiliated delegates will review, formulate and approve party policies.

Further the delegates, according to a notice seen by People Daily Digital will amend, review and ratify proposed changes to the party constitution to comply with the current electoral laws.

The party members will also approve the proposed new seal, symbol and flag of the party besides approving other matters.

“The NDC will be held in strict compliance with Covid-19 guidelines by the Ministry of Health,” the party’s national Secretary General Raphael Tuju stated in the notice.
