Uhuru arrives at Thika Barracks, set to launch KDF vehicles

President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived at Thika Barracks in Kiambu County.

The President who landed in a military chopper around 14:30PM is expected to launch Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) operational vehicles and engineering equipment.

Among the vehicles that are expected to be launched in an event themed ‘enhancing KDF operational capabilities for mission readiness’ are hydro geo survey equipment, rig machines, test pumping units (used to determine the output of a borehole after sinking) and reverse osmosis water purification unit (rowpu) that normally purify water.

Others are rollers, shovel, excavators, tippers, troop carrier vehicles and improved isuzu vehicles with military standards.

The Head of State is also expected to launch truck refrigerator vehicles, recoveries, modified landcruisers and landrovers fitted with radio.
