Jaden Angela,16, from Alliance Girls High School in Nairobi is now eyeing to study Medicine in Harvard University School of Medicine after her impressive performance in the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination.

Angela, who was the top student in Coast region in 2016 after garnering 419 marks in her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education at Ganjoni Primary School, is now seeking scholarship to study medicine in the foreign university.

Angela, a resident of Kiembeni in Mombasa scored A of 82 points, becoming among the best-performed young candidates mentioned by Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha.

Critical role

“I felt very good when the CS mentioned my name as among the best performing young students.

My  dream is to become a neurosurgeon. I want to thank my parents for playing a critical role in facilitating my studies,” said Angella. 

She said despite the slow down by Covid-19, she studied hard and was determined to achieve her dreams.

She believes she will bring change in the society when she achieves her dreams. 

Her mother, Mary Tracy, says her wish is to get a scholarship for her daughter to study in Harvard.
