Kithure Kindiki in Nyeri
Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, Kithure Kindiki, is scheduled to be in Nyeri today. He is expected to attend a church service at the Abundant New Life Church in Nyeri. The service is set to be for worship and Thanksgiving.
This comes a day after he graced the Prize giving day and fundraiser at St. Germaine Gatanga Girls High School in Gatanga Constituency, Murang’a County.
Music Festivals’ battle continues
The Kenya music festivals happening in Nyeri at Dedan Kimathi University will enter the third day. This is the 95th time this festival is taking place, and this year’s theme is all about ‘Nurturing Talent for Innovation and National Development’.
Participants are expected to perform traditional melodies, connecting audiences with Kenya’s rich cultural legacy. Nostalgic Zilizopendwa tunes that bridge generations, paying homage to the country’s enduring musical heritage and original compositions reflect fresh perspectives are to be performed.
The performers are expected to engage in singing games and folk songs, deeply rooted in tradition.
Christie 7s final day
For Sports lovers, Christie 7s, the fourth tournament of the National 7s Circuit, is set to enter its final day with eight teams still in contention for the title.
Kabras Sugar Sugar will play hosts Kenya Harlequin, Menengai Oilers Oilers will take on defending Champions Strathmore Leos, Blak Blad have been paired with Nakuru while KCB will face Mwamba. Kabras will be targeting their third consecutive title this season, KCB will be chasing their second while Menengai Oilers will seek to revive their title hopes.
The matches will run from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm.
