Politicians in church

A number of politicians are expected to attend church sessions where they will join congregants for worship.

As has become their norm, they are likely to touch on political matters during these Sunday gatherings.

Topics such as political unity and shunning tribalism are expected to emerge, especially with the political temperature rising within the ruling party United Democratic Alliance.

Kenya U17 Girls’ World Cup Qualifier

The Kenya U17 Girls’ National Team, the Junior Starlets, are in Burundi ahead of their FIFA U17 World Cup Qualifiers first leg match against Burundi.

The match is scheduled for Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, at 3:00 pm.

The team departed for Ethiopia on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 6 pm. The two-leg fixture will determine who secures automatic qualification for the 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in October, set to be held in the Dominican Republic.

Harambee Stars Prep

Harambee Stars are set to continue their preparations for the World Cup Qualifiers match against Ivory Coast.

Ivory Coast has arrived in Malawi, ready to face the Stars on Tuesday, June 11, at Bingu Stadium in Lilongwe.

Harambee Stars will be looking to bounce back after their tightly contested World Cup Qualifiers match against Burundi in Lilongwe ended in a 1-1 draw. Duke Abuya scored for Kenya, but Burundi's Abdallah Sudi equalized in the final minutes.
