Nairobi’s preparedness for El Nino
As the threat of El Nino looms, Nairobi City County has taken proactive measures to prepare for potential challenges, including floods, landslides, and natural disasters. The 2023 El Nino Preparedness and Response plan has been put in place to address the expected impact between October 2023 and February 2024.
Nairobi’s Deputy County Commissioner has been actively coordinating these preparedness efforts. Together with his team he will provide an update on the progress of these initiatives on Wednesday morning, following extensive collaboration with sub-county authorities and the County Disaster Response team.
Investigation into Eric Maigo’s murder
The investigation into the tragic murder of Eric Maigo, who suffered multiple stab wounds, is ongoing. According to Police reports, the primary suspect, Ann Adhiambo, has been apprehended and is currently in custody at Muthaiga police station.
She is set to be transferred to Kilimani Police Station, responsible for handling the case. The public’s keen interest in this matter continues to grow as her court arraignment approaches.
Addressing road accidents in Kenya
Road accidents have remained a persistent problem in Kenya. The Automobile Association of Kenya is taking action to assess the current status of road accidents and explore potential solutions to significantly reduce their occurrence.
CEO Francis Theuri will spearhead this critical initiative. Given the widespread concern over road safety, this event is expected to draw considerable attention and interest from the public.
