CS Nakhumicha USC spot check

Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha is extending her comprehensive nationwide examination of health facilities. On Friday, January 5, 2023, she is scheduled to tour Kochilia Sub County Hospital in Teso North, Busia County, and Alupe Sub County Hospital in Teso Sub County, Busia County.

The CS’s initiative aims to establish a healthcare program that is more resilient and streamlined.

Commonwealth Speakers and Presiding Officers’ Conference (CSPOC)

Today marks the second day of the 27th Commonwealth Speakers and Presiding Officers’ Conference (CSPOC), taking place at the Commonwealth Resort Munyonyo in Kampala, Uganda.

Participants include speakers from the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) and the East African Community (EAC) parliaments. The conference is scheduled to continue until Saturday, January 6, 2023.

Ngong Road U-turn to be opened

The U-turn situated along Ngong Road, precisely opposite Muchai Drive, which was temporarily closed on December 21, 2023, is set to reopen on Friday, January 5, 2024.

According to the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA), the closure was a necessary measure to facilitate the installation of a median column as part of the ongoing construction of the Coptic Hospital Footbridge.

“We wish to notify the general public that we shall partially close the U-Turn along Ngong Road (opposite Muchai Drive) from 6 AM Thursday 21st December 2023 till 6 PM Friday 5th January 2024,” KURA said on X.
