Here is what you need to know in order to get up to speed with today’s happenings.

Hustler Fund anniversary

Today marks the first year since the Hustler Fund was launched in Kenya and President William Ruto will lead citizens in celebrating the achievement in an event held at Railway Club Grounds, Nairobi.

The loan scheme was launched last year as part of the government’s initiative to enable Kenyans to access loans at low-interest rates.

Workshop on reforming tax policy

The African Research Consortium (AERC) is today expected to hold a workshop to discuss matters about reforming the country’s tax policy and institutional measures.

The in-person event which will be held at Sarova Panafric Hotel from 7 am will be attended by National, Treasury and Economic Planning Cabinet Secretary (CS) Njuguna Ndung’u, Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Commissioner General Humphrey Mulongo, and AERC Director of Research, Abdi Kedir, among others

US Embassy bombing

The Senate AD Hoc Committee pushing for compensation of the victims of the 1998 bombing will today converge at Committee Room 5, Parliament Buildings from 9 am.

The purpose of the meeting is to deliberate on proposed legislation in support of compensation.

National Delegates Council Meeting

The National Delegates Council will today meet at the KICC from 12 noon.

The meeting will be graced by Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen and Treasury CS Njuguna Ndung’u.
