Infotrak to release governors, MPs’ year one performance

Research firm Infotrak will release its report on the performance of elected leaders during their first year in office on Sunday, November 5, 2023.

This is the fourth series of the MPs Performance Index, and the release will shed light on the top-performing elected leaders.

The primary objective of the research is to ascertain the citizenry’s assessment of the performance of their county governments and elected leaders against a set of key performance indicators, the research firm notes.

The completed study had a sample size of 37,600, covering all 47 counties, 290 constituencies, and 1450 wards.

Cheserek set for debut as Lokedi hopes to defend New York Marathon

Sharon Lokedi will be running against top-class rivals in the New York Marathon on Sunday as she hopes to defend the title she won during her debut last year.

Peres Jepchirchir, Brigid Kosgei, Hellen Obiri, Edna Kiplagat, and Ethiopia’s Letesenbet Gidey are Lokedi’s rivals on the New York course.

On the other hand, Edward Cheserek will be making his full marathon debut at 29 years of age. He and Albert Korir are Kenya’s representatives in the men’s race after an injury ruled out Geoffrey Kamworor.

Defending champion Evans Chebet will also not be running after his withdrawal.

Gor Mahia, Posta Rangers in action

Both Gor Mahia and Posta Rangers will be playing Football Kenya Federation Premier League games for their respective matchday ten actions.

Rangers will be looking for a win to potentially widen the gap between them and K’Ogalo, while the defending champions will hope to win and keep pressure on the league leaders. Only one point separates the two sides, with Rangers leading with 20 points against Gor Mahia’s 19.

The Mailmen men will face KCB at Kasarani Annex, while the record Premier League champions will battle Kenya Police at Kasarani Main Stadium.
