TIFA lists top performing Cabinet Secretaries in Ruto’s govt
The latest research by Trends and Insights Africa (TIFA) shows that Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kithure Kindiki is still the best-performing CS.
According to the polls released on Thursday, July 13, 2023, Kindiki maintained his position after he scored 34 percent.
He was trailed by Education CS Ezekiel Machogu who had an overall score of 7 percent whereas Health CS Susan Nakhumicha was named as third best performing CS.
Others include Youths Affairs, Sports and Arts CS Ababu Namwamba who scored 3 percent and his Transport counterpart Kipchumba Murkomen whose over score was 2 percent.
However, TIFA stated that fewer than half of all Kenyans are ready to identify any senior government official as best performing so far.
TIFA added that four out of every ten Kenyans feel that no senior government official is best performing.
“Fewer than half of all Kenyans are prepared to identify any senior national government official as the ‘best performing’ so far,
“Another four-in-ten (40%) feel that no such senior official is ‘the best performing’,” the poll added.
The poll results are based on a survey conducted between June 24, 2023, and June 30, 2023. The data was collected from 1530 respondents in interviews done via phone.
Respondents were drawn from various parts of the country such as Coast, Nairobi, Nyanza, South Rift, Western, Lower Eastern, Mt Kenya, Northern and Central Rift regions.
