Strong franchise value earns KCB bank top ranking in Q3

By , December 10, 2019

KCB has been voted the most attractive bank in Kenya, because of its strong franchise value and intrinsic value score.

The ranking was released by Cytonn Investments, in its third quarter of the year Banking Sector Report released yesterday.

A franchise score measures the broad and comprehensive business strength of a bank across 13 different metrics, while the intrinsic score measures the investment return potential.

KCB Group Plc took the top position in the rankings, from a franchise value and a weighted score of both franchise and future growth opportunity perspective having a better capacity to generate profits from its core business.

Although Diamond Trust Bank Kenya topped in future growth opportunity perspective, however, it had a weak franchise score moving it to position seven on the weighted score.
