Steve Mbogo’s ‘partner’ reported missing, his car found near coffee farm

Police in Ruiru have launched investigations into the alleged disappearance of Steve Mbogo’s associate, Dafton Mutunga Mwaitiki.
This is after Mwaitiki’s car, a black Land Rover Discovery, was found abandoned on March 12, near a coffee farm in Ruiru.
Mwaitiki was reported missing the day after his car was found having last been seen at high-end Kilimani Estate, Nairobi near his place of work.
According to the police report, the abandoned car was found near a coffee farm.
A guard patrolling near the farm which is located on the Kimbo-Kiganjo Road was the first to spot the car and informed his bosses.
“The guards on routine patrol within Oakland Estate spotted the abandoned car and reported to the police,” read the police report.
On visiting, police recovered identification documents belonging to Dafton Mwaitiki, the alleged owner of the car.
Mwaitiki is alleged to be an associate or friend of businessman cum politician Steve Mbogo, who is known for his public display of ‘fine things’.
During the Dusit attack, Mbogo and Mwaitiki appeared at the site wielding a military-grade rifles.
