The Ministries of ICT and Health on June 25 unveiled a national call center to offer psycho-social support to Kenyans in the wake of increasing mental health cases.

ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru on Thursday said the call center will avail information to citizens seeking medical information or social support on mental health.

“Konza Tecnopolis has provided a database for all healthcare officers. When you call, they will redirect you to a medical specialist who can listen to you,” said CS Mucheru.

CS Mucheru said the center will cater for people across the country and will be connecting callers with medical specialists who are near their locations.

Mr. Mucheru thanked partners Equity Group Foundation and Konza Technopolis for providing the hardware funds to support the call center.
