Sex workers lynched a 40-year-old man at Makuyu near Murang’a town on Sunday, December 15.

The furious prostitutes accused the man of trying to kill their colleague whom he led into a bush while soliciting for her services.

It is alleged that the deceased led a woman identified as Wanjiru Kihii into a bush to fulfill his demands but he attempted to kill her afterward.

According to a witness, the deceased only identified as Macharia had earlier been accused of committing multiple femicides on sex workers.

“I knew this man as Macharia, people have accused him of killing other women,” said one resident.

Wanjiku is recuperating with stabbing wounds in her private parts inflicted on her by the deceased.

In 2018, a court issued a search warrant into the man’s home in Maragi, Murang’a in search of his wife’s body after he was accused of having killed her.
