Ruto’s candidate Feisal wins Msambweni poll

Feisal Abdallah Bader an independent candidate allied to Deputy President William Ruto has won the Msambweni parliamentary seat in the by election concluded early morning on Wednesday.

According to the poll results by the Independent Boundaries and Electoral Commission(IEBC), won with 15251 votes against his close opponent Omar Boga from Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) who garnered 10,444 votes.

Feisal was declared winner by the IEBC Returning Officer Yusuf Abubakr and issued with a certificate on Wednesday morning, a few minutes after 4.00am.

The Msambweni mini poll had eight(8) candidates eyeing for the seat.

The seat fell vacant in March after the death of Suleiman Dori who was also uncle to Feisal Abdallah Bader.
