Ruto scores D plain in 2023 performance – InfoTrak survey
President William Ruto’s performance for 2023 has been rated at D plain – this is according to the latest opinion poll by Infotrak research and consulting company.
According to the survey, Ruto scored a D plain as he got 47 per cent approval from Kenyans while his deputy Rigathi Gachagua scored an E – 36 per cent.
Cabinet Secretaries (CS) scored D (43 per cent), Parliament scored D (42 per cent ), the Senate scored D (42 per cent), the Judiciary scored D (47 per cent) while the Police also scored D (45 per cent).
The opposition was also ranked poorly by Kenyans at 47 per cent (D) while County Assemblies also scored 45 per cent (D).
In the polls, Ruto has scored 50 per cent approval rating in Rift Valley, 41 per cent in Nyanza and 48 per cent in Nairobi.
Gachagua scored 37 per cent in Rift Valley, 29 per cent in Nyanza and 34 per cent in Nairobi.
The opposition scored 49 per cent in Rift Valley, 52 per cent in Nyanza and 44 per cent in Nairobi.
The research was conducted between December 18 and 19, 2023, in all 47 counties with 1,500 Kenyans involved in the survey.
Kenyans mentioned the high cost of living, high taxation, unemployment and corruption as the leading issues that the government needs to address immediately.
