Ruto calls on parliament to fast track people-centric legislations

Deputy President William Ruto has called on parliament to spearhead people centred legislations like the NHIF Act and Housing Act to guarantee millions of unemployed Kenyans employment.

Speaking in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu County, the DP said the legislations will also offer millions of Kenyans access to affordable medical care.

Ruto asked Parliament to work together with relevant government bodies and take calculated interventions to get the country back on track.

“Parliament must work with relevant Government bodies and take calculated interventions to get the country back on track through the fast-tracking of people-centred legislations like the NHIF Act and the Housing Act. This will guarantee millions of Kenyans employment and access to affordable medical care,” Ruto said.

He was accompanied by grassroots leaders from Bungoma.

Also, present were Governor Jackson Mandago, MP John Waluke, Fred Kapondi, Dan Wanyama, Didmus Barasa, Mwambu Mabonga, Benjamin Washiali and Boni Khalwale. Others were Kimani Ichung’wah, Ndindi Nyoro, Njuguna Wanjiku and Caleb Kositany.
