Raila mourns Magoha as illustrious scholar, dedicated public servant

ODM Leader Raila Odinga has joined other leaders in sending condolence messages to the family of former Education CS George Magoha following his death at the Nairobi Hospital.

Magoha died on Tuesday, January 24 after suffering a cardiac arrest at home.

“Professor Magoha collapsed at home and was rushed to the Nairobi hospital. Efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful,” part of his death announcement statement reads.

Raila has eulogized the former cabinet secretary as a transformational leader, illustrious scholar, dedicated public servant, and distinguished medical doctor who left an indelible mark on our country’s education system.

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Prof. George Magoha, a transformational leader, illustrious scholar, dedicated public servant, and distinguished medical doctor who left an indelible mark on our country’s education system,” Raila’s tweet read.

ICT CS Eliud Owalo, Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris, ex-nominated senator Millicent Omanga and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula are among the leaders who have sent their condolences to the departed ex-CS.
