Monday power outage: Areas to experience blackout today

A power outage scheduled for Monday, June 3, 2024, is set to affect three Counties across Kenya, according to the latest notice given by Kenya Power.

As shared on their X (formerly Twitter), Kenya power listed the various areas who will have power disruptions for scheduled hours of the day.

As a result of the planned maintenance, there will be a blackout in several areas at different times of the day.

Kenya Power said that the Monday power interruption will affect Bomet, Nandi and Kisii Counties.

Though the outage is temporary, it is anticipated that various sectors and activities in the affected counties will be affected by the outage.

Bomet County

Area: Silibwet, Merigi, Tenwek

Time: 9.00 am – 4.00 pm

Places affected: Tenwek Hosp, Silibwet Mkt, Motigo T/Factory, Stegro T/Factory, Merigi Mkt, Saoset, Motigo, Kiromwok, Kitoben, Cheserwta, Kelonget, Cheboigong, Kapkesiego & adjacent customers.

Nandi County

Area: Chebarbar, Baraton University, Kipchapo Factory

Time: 9.00 am – 3.00 pm

Places affected: Chebarbar, Tilalwa, Baraton Univ, Kimondi, Kaptel, Kipsirwa, Chemuswa, Talai, Sironoi, Kipchabo Factory & adjacent customers.

Kisii County

Area: Geteri, Kanyimbo

Time: 9.00 am – 11.00 am

Places affected: Kanyimbo, Nyatieko, Mbanda, Nyagesenda, Ragogo, Manga Isecha, Nyakiogiro, Sensi, Geteri, Kegogi, Metembe & adjacent customers.
