Postmortem results reveal what killed Lake View Ward MCA Mburu

Postmortem carried out on Tuesday showed Nakuru Member of County Assembly(MCA) for Lake View Ward Karanja Mburu died out of excessive internal bleeding from raptured right lung and liver caused by seven fractured ribs on the right and one on the left.

“He also suffered disclocation of the right shoulder and superficial seat belt injury on the chest. He lost 1.5 litres of blood in the chest cavity and 1 litre in the abdominal cavity,” his burial committee said in a statement.

Mburu burial service will be held at ACK Church Naivasha and burial at his Nyondia in Naivasha.

“Due to the prevailing measures occasioned by COVID-19 disease and following consultations with both County Commissioner and Regional Commissioner, only 15 persons will be present during the burial service representing the family, clergy and selected leaders,” statement reads in part.

According to initial reports, the vocal Jubilee MCA died in a car crash; he lost control of his car before hitting a tree at Kikopey area on Nakuru-Nairobi road.

An avid debater and ambitious young leader, Mr Mburu was one of the vocal MCAs at the Nakuru County Assembly.

He was also in the forefront leading locals to obey government directives to combat Coronavirus as seen by his latest posts and pictures.
