Police officers from Nairobi’s South B area have nabbed two men linked to robbery with violence, recovering one motorcycle and several stolen mobile phones.

In a statement on X on Thursday, March 26, 2026, the National Police Service (NPS) confirmed that the two were busted while in the act of trying to take off with stolen cellphones

“Police officers in Nairobi’s South B area have arrested two suspects in connection with a robbery with violence and have recovered a motorcycle and several stolen mobile phones,” NPS said.

According to the officers, the two were nabbed near the Mater Hospital Bridge after trying to steal from a member of the public before attempting to flee the scene.

“The incident occurred near Mater Hospital Bridge, where a member of the public was accosted by two individuals riding a motorcycle. The suspects robbed the victim of a high-end mobile phone before attempting to flee the scene,” NPS stated.

According to the officer, following a distress call, officers on patrol responded swiftly, pursued the persons of interest and successfully apprehended them.

At the scene, the officers recovered three mobile phones, including the stolen device, as well as the motorcycle believed to have been used in the commission of the crime.

Thereafter, the two were escorted to police custody and are expected to appear in court to face the relevant charges.

On the other hand, the officers have affirmed that the National Police Service continues to enhance patrols and rapid response measures to safeguard the public and urges citizens to report any suspicious activity.
