Education Cabinet Secretary nominee Julius Ogamba believes his extensive experience in handling complex court matters and having an understanding of the education docket make him suitable for the role.

During his vetting at City Hall, Ogamba, an accomplished advocate, explained that his leadership roles have allowed him to learn and understand organizational operations.

Ogamba’s response

“In leadership, you learn to lead an organization and have the opportunity to study within that organization. Regarding my suitability for this position, I have had a lot of experience in handling complicated matters in court and also had an opportunity to understand what the education docket entails,” the nominee stated.

Ogamba insisted that the Ministry of Education’s role is to ensure access to education for all in the country.

“Our constitution, under articles 43, 53, and 55, provides for the provision of education to the children of the country. The Ministry of Education, under the Basic Education Act, TVET Act, and University Act, expands this mandate so that the provisions therein are undertaken by the Ministry of Education,” he added.

With about 30 years of experience in legal practice, Ogamba has built a reputation for providing quality, accurate, and relevant legal advice.

He has developed a large portfolio of corporate clients across various sectors, including banking and financial industries, manufacturing, oil, gas, natural energy, real estate, and government agencies.

Ogamba’s educational background
