Officers at Kamukunji police station test positive for coronavirus

A sergeant and two constables at Kamukunji Police Station in Nairobi have tested positive for coronavirus, according to a police report.

The sergeant, attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), tested positive at Aga Khan hospital.

He is under home care treatment at his home in Ruiru. His three children are under self-quarantine, also at the same home.

One police constable tested positive at Kenyatta University Referral Hospital. The officer is attached to the Rapid Response Medical Team at the DCI. His family has since been quarantined at his home in the Kamukunji police quarters.

The other constable, tested positive at Mbagathi Hospital where he was admitted for treatment.

Following the cases, officers in the station are set for rapid testing.
