Here is what you need to know in order to get up to speed with today’s happenings.

World Athletics Cross Country Tour

World cross-country champion Beatrice Chebet is today expected to lead a field of athletes during the upcoming Cross Internacional de Atapuerca.

The event will mark the second in the World Athletics Cross Country Tour Gold series and will see participation from over 5,000 runners representing 15 countries.

Chebet will be joined by fellow Kenyan athletes Edinah Jebitok and Lucy Mawia. Other athletes include Ethiopia’s Likina Amebaw and Lemlem Nibret as well as Uganda’s Sarah Chelangat.

KHRC meeting

The Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) will today meet to discuss King Charles III’s visit to Kenya next week.

The meeting will be held at the commission’s Kenyan headquarters situated along Gitanga Road, opposite Valley Arcade from 11 am.

During the meeting, the commission will also discuss the mass and systemic atrocities, historic land injustices and corporate-related violations in which the British government or corporations are involved.
